From 13 to 27 August 2026, the Institute of Information Technology in Civil Engineering (IIC) – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering delivered a BIM Management – BIM Manager course for managers and engineers of IMG Phuoc Dong JSC. The 16-hour course was taught in person at 738 Vo Van Kiet, Cho Quan Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
The course covered the full BIM management process on a project: planning, running the common data environment, setting requirements and assessing models, organising models and resolving clashes. The last two parts were hands-on, with participants working on their own laptops in the company's training room.

| 2. CDE and model requirements | Autodesk Construction Cloud (Docs, Build): storage, member management, submission and approval of 3D models and 2D drawings, RFIs, construction progress, reporting; Autodesk Viewer and Drive. LOD requirements; assessing architectural, structural, MEP, plumbing and fire protection models; checking drawings and quantities |
| 3. Organising the model (hands-on) | Overall, building-block and discipline files; worksets; survey coordinates and true north; naming and colour conventions |
| 4. Coordination and clash resolution (hands-on) | Clash matrix, 3D coordination process, coordination model, Search Sets, detecting and resolving clashes, reporting |
Linking the CDE to schedule and quantities
In the common data environment session, lecturers spent time on two kinds of data the project team uses every day. The first is the schedule: construction programmes are usually prepared in software such as MS Project and then updated and tracked alongside the model and requests for information (RFIs) in Autodesk Build. The second is quantities: figures extracted from a checked model become a reliable reference for acceptance and for preparing construction payment and settlement records.
The Institute sincerely thanks IMG Phuoc Dong JSC for choosing it as its training partner.
