Besides the yearly licence, the on-premises edition involves the following.

General notes

  • Prices exclude VAT.
  • The 30-day trial includes every feature and needs no payment card.
  • External collaborators (subcontractors, supervision consultants, approvers) are free. They can view, download, mark up drawings and answer issues and technical queries.
  • Cloud edition servers are located in Vietnam.
  • Extra storage beyond the plan: VND 500,000 per 100 GB per month.
  • Extra internal users beyond the plan: VND 250,000 per user per month.
  • Universities, research institutes and training centres use the Academic plan free of charge, with no limit on classes.
  • The on-premises edition follows the cloud edition by one or two releases.
  • When the contract ends you receive a handover package of all your data, and an archive copy is kept for a further 12 months.
FAQ

Common questions about pricing

Why is Codexa priced per project rather than per user?
A project involves many parties, each to a different degree. Per-user pricing forces the owner to ration who gets in, yet a common data environment only works when everyone works from one source. So Codexa charges per project and does not charge external collaborators.
Where does the cost of Codexa sit in the project budget?
It belongs to the project’s BIM implementation cost. Under Circular 38/2026/TT-BXD, in force from 1 July 2026 and replacing Circular 09/2024/TT-BXD, this cost is set by an estimate and may not exceed 50% of the total cost of the construction design carried out after project approval. The Institute provides a template estimate report with its legal basis for you to use in your documents.
Should I choose the cloud or the on-premises edition?
The cloud edition suits most projects: no servers to look after, and new features arrive straight away. The on-premises edition is for organisations with their own rules on where data is stored, or that need the system inside their internal network.
Is my data locked when the subscription ends?
No. The system switches to read-only. You can still view and download every document, and you receive a data handover package.
Does the Institute help with deployment?
Yes. The Institute’s BIM office SBIM helps set up the folder structure, file coding convention and approval steps, and trains the project team.
